Stay away from this dealership! The sales team is disrespectful! Today I had the worst experience of my life with a car salesman! First of all, they changed the price from the one listed. Then they said if I don't like it, I have 5 minutes to leave, otherwise they will call the police to take me off the property. Such salesmen have no business being in such positions. **Terrible Dealership Experience – Rude, Unprofessional, and No Negotiation!** I recently visited Kelly Buick GMC, INC and had one of the worst car-buying experiences ever. The salesperson was incredibly rude, dismissive, and acted like they were doing me a favor by even speaking to me. They had a "take it or leave it" attitude, refusing to negotiate on price despite market comparisons showing their pricing was unreasonable. Online buyers beware, poor business practices and ethics. I submitted a formal credit application through your website on Saturday at 6:51pm after regular business hours, and received immediate approvals from several banks. Your facility is closed on Sunday, therefore I called at 9am Monday morning when your facility opened, to immediately get the deal formally started. From 9am - 12:52pm I worked with John to finalize the terms of trade and new purchase, at which point I was notified that there was a buyer on site who drove 2 hours and was interested in the vehicle. I find it highly unlikely that the buyer on site had submitted a formal credit application or received terms of sale prior to myself. That is poor business practice in 2025 when online purchasing is so prevalent. It is important for online consumers to understand how they will be treated by your dealership. I typically visited Kelley Buick to get a price for a new GMC truck to play against my local dealer in Lake Wales. I typically purchase a new vehicle every two years and have encountered positive and less favorable experiences, my interaction with this dealership stands out as the most disappointing. I lead a busy life and prefer to shop for cars online. I search nationwide, find the best deals, and travel to complete the purchase. In this instance, my purchase was time-sensitive. The dealership had the color and trim I wanted, and the price was within my budget. After requesting their out-the-door pricing, I received it via email and agreed to move forward with the purchase. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Braxton, a polite and professional salesperson, who showed me the truck. The truck was dirty so I asked for the bed to be redone. We noticed some minor damage to the grill, so they ordered a replacement part. I was told it would take some time as the part was not readily available, which was fine. After signing some paperwork with Braxton he stated that he would fuel the truck and transfer my plate. He asked me to wait for the finance manager, who would finalize the paperwork. I was left sitting in the lobby for 20 minutes while the finance manager remained in his office alone. When he finally emerged, the lack of professionalism was immediately apparent. As he went through the paperwork and started to explain everything, he told me that I had to pay $250 for what amounts to glorified scotch tape on the door trim. I asked him why it was not listed as a fee on my detailed quote from the salesman and why I was not told about it before hand. He stated that it's the salesman's job. I asked him to remove it from the truck as I did not want it. He told me that every truck they sell has it and that I have to pay for it. When I asked where it is listed in the contract that its required, he could not show me. I stated that since it’s not listed, I am not obligated to buy it. His answer was that it was already on the car so I have to pay for it. I asked him for paperwork describing what I am paying for. He pulled a brochure out of a drawer and handed it to me. I put it with the paperwork that I was taking with me. He stopped me and told me that it’s his only copy and I cannot have it. I asked him for a copy of the brochure but he said that he did not have access to a copy machine. He asked me how long I would keep the car. I told him 2 years. He took out his iPad and started his extended protection package pitch. I told him that I was not interested and asked him not to continue. He became agitated to a point where I told him to calm down. He then started calling me “sir” and repeatedly stated that he was calm, was not angry and he is required to offer these services. I told him that he was wasting my time but he kept going. I was then told to sign twice on his iPad. I declined as there would be no reason for me to sign anything since I am not purchasing anything. He told me that I have to sign. He explained that I was signing once to confirm that he tried to sell me these packages and I was signing a second time confirming that I do not want the packages. I asked him for a printout showing that I declined the service and was told that they do not do that. He told me that I have to sign a paper saying that I will keep the loan for at least 6 months. I told him that I intend to pay it off in 3. He told me that I cannot legally do that since they are selling me the car so cheap in part because they make money on the loan. I asked for a copy of this document and he told me that they do not provide it to the customer. I then asked why with stellar credit I was approved at 2 points higher than my pre-approval. He stated that the sales manager handles credit not him. He told me that GM does not have rates lower than what I got, even though it’s on every GM dealers website. It's obvious that this dealership added 2 points to the rate I was approved for as their sell rate. Sleazy but legal.

BUYER BEWARE. SELLING BRANDED TITLED VEHICLES. I will never deal with this dealership or Russel Larkey, or Russel Hernandez ever again. My wife purchased an f150 from them and three weeks after we purchased it in the title process the title was deemed “not actual mileage”. This is considered a brand on the title and devalues the vehicle significantly. We contacted Russel L and he said they have never heard of such a thing happening like this and reassured us they would look into it and get it fixed. I never received a call from them for a week so I called again. Russel L said they were still looking into it and he said he would call me the following day and he promised he would call. So after not receiving a call for another week I called again and he told me he has been so busy and forgot to call me back again but the manager Russel Hernandez was involved in it and he was going to make things right and get the title fixed. After almost two months of calling them and getting nowhere I went back down there in person and demanded to speak to the manager. When speaking to Russel Hernandez he told us he was just now notified about the situation. (Mind you this was months after I originally called, so Russel larkey lied when he told us he has someone looking into it.) Russel told us he’s not worried about the situation and he will contact carfax and he would take the vehicle back in on trade but the trade amount was 10,000 less than what we paid which was 5,000 less than what we still owed. We were NOT upside down on this loan, the only reason we were upside down was from the title brand and the fact that the dealer was lowballing us. He said he would buy it back from us too but it was still going to put us upside down on it since the value he was offering us caused me to have to pay the dealer 5,000 dollars to clear out the loan. This was cash out of my pocket for their mistake. He kept saying he would get it resolved if he bought it back from us but wasn’t considered about getting it fixed for us while it’s still in our possession. So we are in a position where we are having to pay for their mistake. He also informed us he had this issue with two other vehicles before but apparently lied about this when we first confronted them about it because I was told that this has never happened from Russel L. All they wanted to do was sell us another vehicle and lowball us on the vehicle we just bought from them. I contacted a lawyer and the lawyer said I would end up spending more in lawyer fees than what I could gain from the dealership. We tried trading the vehicle in at all the major dealers in Lakeland and they all wanted to offer us half of what the vehicle was worth because of the brand. We spent months with Carfax and the state of Florida trying to fix it and we got nowhere because it happened when the vehicle was in the hands of the dealership. Finally when they bought it back and me paying the 5,000 to get the loan paid off they were so rude in the office. Russel Hernandez would not even look at us or apologize for the mistakes. They would not give me a receipt for the wholesale purchase so I had to take pictures of it all on my phone of the paperwork. Of course I was worried because all they have done was lie to us. After selling it and waiting 6 weeks for the refund and checking in every couple weeks they never even started the refund process for the extended warranty. Russel Larkey told me several times that it was being handled and clearly he was just telling me what I wanted to hear. After the seventh week I called and spoke to the finance manager and she told me she called Russel L and he said “I am not involved in any of that” which was also a lie because he was part of the entire situation. He was the one who told my wife where to sign on the wholesale paperwork and showing they still owed us 1400 dollars for the warranty. Salesman at Lakeland lot charged me a thousand dollars over the advertised price of the vehicle in spite of me requesting the lower price. Wanted the vehicle so relented but i will never have a good word for the way i was treated. Couldnt even get them to replace a burnt turn signal bulb. Bad service, took my truck there many times for the same issues, never recorded my visits or gave me print outs for my visit. Still having issues and now most recently an OIL leak possibly from the trans oil line they replaced. I would never bring it back there again. I called a Chevy dealer near me and made an appointment to bring it in under warranty service to have them look at it. Made a complaint to GMC Corporate who is now tracking the service on what is done. Gave me a case number and with hopes will get it fixed. If not I will file a Lemon Law claim which GMC said for me to do if I cannot get it resolved.

A month ago I purchased a VW cc 2017. In less than a month the motor is leaking oil. I am disappointed in that, but overall I had a good experience dealing with Mr. Russell sales person. If you are planing to buy a vehicle at Kelly Buick make sure you take it for an inspection.

Customer review Please take time to read. I recently bought a truck from Kelley Lakeland on 2/20/21 and was not treated fairly after my purchase. The truck I purchased had 4 tires that were not able to be balanced correctly and I was unable to feel the problem when taking the vehicle for a short test drive on the city streets surrounding the dealership. Traffic was also bumper to bumper the entire time on I4 heading back to I75. Unfortunately I was not even able to feel the problem until I reached I75 where I could take the truck over 50 mph, the steering wheel began to shake and the entire truck was shaking to the point that my water bottle in the center console was splashing out. I have had trucks and Jeep’s over my lifetime and know the feeling of an unbalanced wheel/tire, I immediately called Kelley of Lakeland and spoke with my sales guy Brandon Sanandres and informed him of the issue but I also stated since I live an hour and a half away and I was more then halfway home, I would simply take the truck to my local tire shop that I have done business with for over 15 years. I was told by Brandon to let him know if there was anything he could do to help and I told him I didn’t think it was a big deal and more then likely just a simple balance job. I made an appointment to with my tire guys the very next day. I asked them to simply take each wheel off one by one and place it on their balancing machine to see which wheel was out of balance. Well, it turned out that ALL 4 were out of balance but this however was only 1/2 the issue. They showed me each wheel rotating on the machine so that I could clearly see each tire spin. Two tires had side to side movement, one tire had a hop in it, and the 4th tire also was out of round. They tried to balance the wheels as best they could. After leaving the tire shop I decided to drive the vehicle for a day, since I would be back on the interstate for work and see how it felt. Well ... it wasn’t any better, so I called Kelley of Lakeland and spoke with Brandon again and told him what was going on and that the tires would need to be replaced. Now mind you I was also told the day I bought the truck that these tires were in fact new, which I later found out to be false. Brandon informed me that I would need to speak with their sales manager Victor Guingona and that I would need to bring the truck back up to their Bartow location where their mechanics are. I was unable to bring the truck that week because I was having work done at my home and would not be able to bring the truck in till the following Monday 3/1/21 I called the Bartow location and informed them of what was going on and also what my local tire shop had found. I asked that they have some sort of replacement tires ready to install the day I bring it because it felt unsafe at highway speeds and we have already determined the tires were bad and needed replacement. I was told they would have replacements ready but would still need to assess the tires to confirm, which I understood is proper protocol. I arrived in Bartow for my appointment on time and the mechanics took my truck, pulled each wheel, tried to balance and also did a road force test on each wheel. The result.. the tires failed miserably and needed replacement (which I already knew and told them prior to coming there) then they informed me that they did NOT have tires to put on my truck and said I would need to discuss it with Kelley of Lakeland. ???? So....this was a waste of my time, 1.5 hours each way. Needless to say I was irate over this situation and sent several texts to Brandon about what was going on. I received no response but the next day he told me that he had been off the previous day. I did however receive a phone call from Victor Guingona Kelley of Lakeland sales manager and he began to explain that “I had bought a used truck and it was as is ..blah blah blah” I told him that I informed Brandon THE DAY I BOUGHT the truck there was an issue and I wanted to know how they planned on correcting it. Victor then stated that he wasn’t going to put $2000 worth of tires on my truck and that he didn’t know what I expected him to do ?? Aren’t sales mangers supposed to know what to do? He even went so far as to say “ should we turn back the hands of time and have you bring the truck back ??? Seriously ??? This was his solution ??? Really ?? At this point I already had the truck for over a week and had spent money outfitting for my work! I told Victor “NO..I don’t want to bring the truck back, I simply want tires that roll correctly and ride properly” I even said I would be willing to put forth some of my own money to get tires of quality but felt as though the full financial responsibility should not fall upon me. He agreed. He said he would talk to his “tire specialist” and call me the next day. The next day came and no call, I text Brandon late in the day and explained that I had not received a call and explained to him that I even sent an email to Victor letting him know that there were other tire sizes available that may be more affordable. No response. Brandon later responded letting me know the price of some Nitto tires and also some Venom tires which currently are on the vehicle. I said “NO” to the Venom tires and would choose the Nitto. The tire specialist was supposed to contact me.. well that never happened. The next day I text Brandon again to let him know that Victor nor the tire specialist had contacted me at all the previous day and asked for this tire specialists phone number so I could simply communicate with him directly and determine what tires he had. His name was Kevin and he told me he had Nitto tires in my size and would speak with Victor and have Victor call me so we could work out the details and make a plan to get this done.. well .. no one called me and no one has ever contacted me again. I understand that when you buy a used car as is, the dealership has no obligation to help you after the sale, but I also feel that since I made them aware of the issue the day I bought the vehicle, they have a moral responsibility to do what’s right and to try their best to satisfy a customer. Needless to say I was completely let down and felt swept under the rug by everyone involved. I have since had to purchase $2000 worth of new tires just to make the $35,000 truck drive smoothly. My advise to anyone considering buying a used vehicle from Kelley of Lakeland is this ...insist on driving that vehicle at highway speeds, test the vehicle out as much as possible before you sign any paperwork, because once you do, you might as well consider yourself a ghost! I would never buy from this company again and ask that you don't either. Their customer service is horrible. Even their management who claims to have 30 years in the industry. They're all about working for themselves and not for you. I worked with Justin, Bobby, and Russell and they sold me a Jeep online and had it delivered to me. The delivery of the Jeep was delayed by a week due to a rip in the soft top, which I was fine with. When delivered we noticed the car was not acceptable as the installation of the new soft top appeared wrong- we tried to speak with one of their reps but didn't get an answer. The next few days it rained and the soft top was leaking and there was a musty smell in the car. We brought it to a local dealership that they recommended to us and the dealership told us that the soft top installation was faulty and was missing a bunch of parts that would cost approximately $1750, which is why it was leaking. It was 100% because Kelly Buick GMC failed to do a recheck before delivering the car to me. It was not my fault. I sent them videos and documentation. I tried to get someone on the phone from Kelley Buick GMC to assist but no one responded. I spent 2 days before I finally got in touch with Russell, who apparently is one of the experienced managers there. Bobby and Justin would not answer their phones. Russell quickly offered that he would send someone up to get the car, bring it back, and then send it back up and it would take more than a week. He didn't trust that what I was saying or what the dealership was saying. I have already been inconvenienced for 3 days so I let him know again that would not work for me. We have a dealership who has my car currently and can fix your mistakes immediately - even if it cost a bit more to you. I have to have my car for work. Russell then started saying "buyer beware" statements to me for the State of Florida... too bad so sad kind of attitude. I don't deal with people like that. They didn't own their mistake. There's nothing worse than that. Especially in a car dealership that claims they have good service. You will get good service up until you buy the car. Horrible experience. I asked him to put himself in my shoes and he just started arguing rather than finding solutions that would work for me and not just his bottom line. Do not do business with this dealership. They sold me a used car with a terrible paint job that was good enough to purchase the car. However, started peeling a week after I purchased the vehicle. They were not willing to do anything to correct the situation and told me not their problem. This company does not stand by their product and once you have purchased the car they want nothing to do with you. Take your business elsewhere.

Let me first tell you how disappointed and disgusted I am from my experience yesterday. I was originally told $32,000 for the truck I was interested in over text by Dylan with lift, wheels and tires. I then proceed to get there and get told $33500. According to Dylan there was a “mix up.” I live over an hour away, not like I’m right down the street. Laughing, smirking, telling me if I don’t like the price to leave, pointed to the door. He told me it didn’t matter to him either way if I bought a truck there. Negotiating is a part of the business whether he likes it or not. It seems as if the customer isn’t paying the price you are asking he was a problem with it. I told me I would think about it and he laughed as I walked out the door. That is completely unacceptable and disgusting. If I could give this dealership 100 stars I would. Hands down, *THE* best car buying experiences I've ever had. After spending weeks with dealers all over Florida from the panhandle to all along i4, this was the first dealer that understood what it's like car shopping with children. If you have kids, you know what I mean. I've walked away from amazing deals because my kids had reached their limit with waiting in white walled, boring rooms. Not the case here! Angie pulled over a table and gave my 4 and 6 year old an activity kit with coloring pages, crayons, stickers, activity book, and a puzzle. She even went out of her way to find a box of crayons with more choices when she overheard them talking about a broken crayon. Our salesman, George, gave them popcorn and water, and later a cupcake. It was so unbelievably relaxing to buy a car! My kids didn't complain about the long wait AT ALL because of the treatment they received. It took a few hours and they were as happy as could be. As for the actual car buying part, they were straightforward and answered all of our questions. The truck was clean and exactly what my husband had been searching for. George made us feel at ease with the sale and helped negotiate for us. Adam, the closer, was friendly and easy to work with. They went above and beyond every step of the way. I don't think I'll be able to buy anywhere else because it was such a wonderful experience. All the other employees go out of their way to say hello and ask if there's anything they can do for you.

Words cannot express my gratitude towards Jon Andrews for his honesty. Jon was was our sales person. Kelley Buick was one of the several dealers that had the make, model the car I was wanting to purchase. By far, Jon and his team were the most honest, straightforward, patience, respectful, considerate of my time, and just plain simple transaction and I was impressed that he has the same outstanding attitude from the very first phone call until the end of the transaction and even after. The two and half hour drive was worth it. Other dealers nearby although they had about similar prices there were always some sort of hidden fees (marketing, Pre-conditioning, etc.) for me it was very important to have a negotiated price or at least know what the expectations were. Everyone’s time is valuable and I just love that Jon was conscious about it and made his best efforts to make the entire process seamless. When is time to make another car purchase, definitely Jon will be the first one on our list to call and ask for his help.

We went looking for another truck but had to be 4WD. Didn’t realize most trucks in Florida are 2wd. When other truck wasn’t to our liking, we gave RRussell the budget and he reviewed the inventory. We ended up buying his suggestion. RRussell is very personable and low pressure. I especially appreciated not having him “set aside” while the “big guns” do the pricing. RRuss also delivered the truck the same day. Good job!
